Hello, I'm Ben

I’m a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, born and raised in Guernsey. After spending a decade living, working, and qualifying overseas in London and Melbourne, Australia, I have returned to the island to offer psychotherapy and counselling through Guernsey Wellbeing.

I work mostly with adults and teenagers aged 16 and over, supporting a wide range of issues. These may include anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or navigating relationship and family challenges. I also offer support during life transitions and losses, and in exploring neurodivergent experiences, such as living with autism or ADHD.

This list is not exhaustive, and I also welcome those carrying emotional or situational difficulties that may be hard to define. Whether you’re dealing with something specific or simply feel you’re not quite yourself, therapy can offer a space to make sense of things and find a way forward.

There are many different approaches to therapy, and I draw from a range of them to suit each person’s unique needs. These may include elements from person-centred therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and time-limited psychodynamic therapy. You don’t need to worry about the theories or labels, together, we’ll find a way of working that feels right for you.

Alongside my clinical training, my life and background in strategic, client-focused roles in London and Guernsey have given me the experience to provide a grounded and collaborative approach in therapy. I aim to combine real-world perspective and psychological insight to help clients navigate challenges and move forward meaningfully.

I hold a Master’s and a Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, and I am registered with PACFA (the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia).
